Brainstorm: Develop spontaneous ideas that will eventually develop into a more focused idea or concept.
Paragraph: A set of sentences, typically four to five at minimum (though this assignment requires two to three at minimum) that deal with a specific theme or idea.
What if I don't have Microsoft Word?
Ashford technology requirements indicate that files must be written in Microsoft Word. Ashford assignments can only be accepted in the form of .doc and .docx files (Microsoft Word file types). However, if you do not have access to Microsoft Word, you may be able to use the following workaround:
There is a free word processing application (Open Office) available for download at www.openoffice.org.
Once you have downloaded Open Office and created your document, you can save it as a .doc file by following these steps:
a. Click on the "File" menu button.
b. Then click on the "Save As" option.
c. From the "Save As Type" dropdown menu, select the "Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)" option to save the file as a .doc document.
d. Click "Save."
