2. Is there such a thing as a free gift according to Cronk or Lee? Explain what they mean by this. Include in your answer how the work of Franz Boas is related to this question.
Chapter 3 Question :
3. EXPLORE THE 2 MODELS OF EXCHANGE AS PERTINENT TO ANTHROPOLOGY. ARE THEY MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE? EXPLAIN WHY or WHY NOT. Use examples to illustrate your argument. (Chapter 3).
Chapter 4 question :
4. According to Steven Pinker, how does language help us express what is going on in our minds? (Chapter 4).
5. Explore the concept of communication from an anthropological perspective. Explore all aspects of language from the chapter and use examples from the readings in order to express this anthropological concept. (Chapter 4).
