Dialysis patient of 6 years, 29 year old male, 6'1 165 lbs. On renal diet and taking Fosrenol as directed by doctor ( FOUR - 1,000 mg ) with each meal.
Physically fit and active, eats more then the average person eats at meals to maintain body weight. However, phosphate levels are usually high. Should the doctor prescribe a larger dosage of Fosrenol to see if that helps take the phosphate level down? Or does the medication just not work as well as with different people? Suggestions?
