Details for term paper

The research paper must be between 10 and 12 double-spaced, single-sided, typewritten pages with 1 inch margins all around. Your completed paper must include a minimum of 10 references dated no earlier than 2010.

You should include legacy reference material dated earlier than 2010, but you must include at least 10 references since 2010. In general, these current references will be drawn from journal articles or books dealing with the sociology of mental disorders relevant to your topic (professional journals ad peer reviewed only)

Term papers must conform to the American Sociological Association (ASA) Style Guide. As a starting point, a reference document is available on the Moodle page for this class.

The paper will be graded on writing ability, clarity, and grammar, in addition to content. Please note that plagiarism will result in a grade of 0 on the paper, and this will most likely cause you to fail the course
