Part 1- Sketch a P-V diagram of a cyclic process involving two reversible adiabatic paths originating at the same point and a reversible isothermal paths connecting the two adiabats.

Part 2- Consider the changes, in state and path functions accompanying each path and show that the result for this cycle contradicts Kelvin's statement of the second law of thermodynamics.
