Throughout his presidential campaign, and as taking office in January 2009, President Barack Obama has pushed forward his agenda to free America from dependency on foreign oil. Growth of green jobs is forecasted in coming years as new technologies, like solar power and clean coal, are pursued and expanded. In the mean time, many people and opposing politicians believe this is unnecessary and expensive push. They state we could just continue drilling off Gulf Coast, Alaska, and other areas in our country which are presently not being explored.
