Death Penalty and capital punishment

In this final project, you and a partner will present a critical analysis of a specific topic covered over several kinds of media. You should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the logical arguments and fallacies we have discussed in class as well as a good understanding of your subject area.

You will choose a topic from the list below. If you wish to form your own topic, you are free to do so as long as you confirm your choice with the professor. The presentations will be due over the final week of class and are to last 5-10 minutes. These presentations may include electronic slides, clips from television or film, posters, etc. In fact, given that this is an online course, the more detailed and technology-driven your presentation the better. You have autonomy on what kind of presentation you would like to do--a Power-Point Presentation, YouTube Video, etc.

RUBRIC:

This presentation is worth 10% of your final grade and will be graded out of 4 points.

(A):  Presentation shows extraordinary skill in critical reasoning, was within the 5-10 minute time range, and analyzes many different examples in many different forms of media on the given topic.
