CSR: Natural Environment

As major users of natural resources and generators of waste products, businesses play a huge role in conservation and pollution-reduction efforts.

Review the section of the textbook in chapter 4 titled, CSR: The Natural Environment. Think about in what ways could your employer (or college, if you are not currently working) take steps to reduce resource depletion? Think about how you disposed of the last electronic product you stopped using?

With your fellow classmates discuss and answer the following questions:

• What ways do you think your employer or college can reduce resource depletion?
• How did you dispose of the last electronic product you used? Did you dispose of it in a way that is safe for the environment?  
• Give an example of a large company that is taking steps to minimize their impact on the environment.
