Research any topic from the lecture, discuss it using research based evidence, and analyse it using feminist theory. Your essay must make a case, or argument, and must demonstrate your ability to research thoroughly and present work critically.

For example, you may argue that lesbians should be allowed to get married and have children in Australia, or you may make the case that current political policies are not redressing the gaps in health where Indigenous women are concerned, or you may make the point that women who are older are portrayed negatively in the media. Use examples to illustrate your point throughout the essay. All arguments must be backed by evidence and research from reliable sources. Use feminist theory and authors to back your case.

You will be marked on your ability to analyse and critique a contemporary social issue from a feminist perspective with the goal of improving women's health and well-being.
