Create proper figures in Excel. Number all figures consecutively. (e.g. Figure I, Figure 2, etc.). Give them meaningful titles, then discuss/refer to these in your text (see Dalton for an example of how to do this).
Clear, explanatory title, 12-point, Times New Roman, number the pages, double spaced, stapled, double sided printing.
A rough estimate would be at least 10 pages (excluding figures and references).

Assignment using the World Values Survey on-line
In this assignment, use the democracy you have chosen (excluding the countries in Dalton's Citizen Politics). Use data from the World Values Survey.
Use figures where appropriate.
The theme is:
Political Participation and Values in [chosen country]
As part of the paper, answer the following questions:
i) Describe political participation over time in your country.
(ii) Select one of the modes of political participation in the most recent "Wave." Based on previous research (before you conduct the analysis), what individual level factors do you think influence participation in this mode? Conduct the analysis. Were your hypotheses correct?
In interpreting your findings, are Russell Dalton's (2016), Kay Schlozman and her coauthors' (2012), or Martin Wattenberg's theories applicable?
(iii) Do the citizens have high levels of social capital?
(iv) Do the data provide any evidence that Russell Dalton's theory (2016) on norms and values applies to 'your' country? (Begin by outlining his theory)
Conduct a library search for books/journal articles in the specific area and for the country/region that you have chosen (the literature review (=review of previous research) should contain at least one book, one journal article and a newspaper article (use the library databases, not a google search of random articles), you should also refer to Dalton's The Good Citizen. [normally, this section would need to include all previous research]
Report should be structured with subheadings and should include the following sections: An Abstract; Introduction; Literature Review [use the previous research and build your theory/state your hypotheses]; Data and Methods; Findings; Conclusion; References.
Cite properly. It is very important not to forget your list of References. I asked you to use the "APA 6th" System in this class and explained in Week 2 how to do this.
Some Style Points to Remember (see syllabus). Refer to you class notes about presenting figures. Don't just cut and paste from the WVS website. Select the information that you need.
