Create a chart detailing the five techniques used in motivational interviewing:

Define and illustrate counselor techniques of motivational interviewing.

Explain how the techniques help overcome the conventional problems of transference and countertransference.

Write an essay of 250-500 words in which you explain the "spirit" of motivational interviewing and its primary principles.

Include at least one scholarly reference in addition to the textbook in your paper.
