These are the issues you will work on in week 2

Crisis of Trade:

Make 2 new trade alliances, who and why choose those countries?

Discuss which items you will trade with each of the countries you choose.

Describe the benefits and costs associated with free trade.

Define key terms such as international trade, factors of production, production possibilities, absolute advantage, comparative advantage, and terms of trade.

Explain how international trade creates interdependent relationships between countries.

Refugees

The world is witnessing the highest levels of displacement on record. An unprecedented 59.5 million people around the world have been forced from home. Among them are nearly 20 million refugees, over half of whom are under the age of 18.

Immigration issues:

Your country has been ask to accept 300,000 refugees from Syria

What are the plans for a group this size?

Where will they be placed?

What types of regulations will be followed in order to keep the citizens of your country safe?

Natural Disaster: Your country will experience an earthquake and a hurricane in the same year.

What is your countries plan for emergency preparedness

How much money needs to be reserved for disasters

Where will the temporary shelters and first aid shelters come from

Climate change is one of the major challenges of our time. From shifting weather patterns that threaten food production, to rising sea levels that increase the risk of catastrophic flooding, the impacts of climate change are global in scope and unprecedented in scale.

Environmental issues: Global Warming

What does your country do to regulate the following?

Smog and exhaust pollution

These are the issues you will work on in week 6

Women.

UN support for the rights of women began with the Organization's founding Charter. Among the purposes of the UN declared in Article 1 is: "To achieve international co-operation in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion."

Gender equality in your country, does it exist?

What is the comparison of salaries between males and females?

What is the population of women compared to men?

Has your country had any issues with human trafficking, or sex slaves?

Look into the history and find out if anything like these has been reported?

What are the labor standards in your country?

These are the issues you will work on in week 7

Check on the crime statistics. What is the Unemployment rate in the country?

What is the murder rate in your country?

How many prisons? How many incarcerated? What are the biggest crimes in your country?

How does your country compare to other countries in the world in terms of the crime rate?

Is your country part of the United Nations security council? And how long?

How many countries are on the security council?

Part 8

These are the issues you will work on in week 8

Nuclear energy and weapons

More than 30 countries worldwide are operating 444 nuclear reactors for electricity generation and 66 new nuclear plants are under construction. In 2014, 13 countries relied on nuclear energy to supply at least one-quarter of their total electricity.

HEALTH CONCERNS:

There are concerns that a global pandemic will spread to other countries and become a population eradicator. What are the Health emergency plans in your country for such an epidemic.

How will your country deal with those infected?

WHO and international experts believe that the world is now closer to another influenza pandemic than at any time since 1968, when the last of the previous century's three pandemics began.
