Unpacking the Assignment Question
This paper requires you to explore the relationship between the factors that have influenced both the thinking of Occupational Therapists and the practice of Occupational Therapy over your selected time period.
You will need to explain how these influences have shaped Occupational Therapy practice in the UK today.
Review the factors - maybe social, cultural, economic, political, legislative, organisational, development of health and social care professional reasoning etc, etc influencing Occupational Therapy in the UK TODAY
Structuring your assignment
Once you have chosen your key factors now think about how you will lead the reader to these key factors in your essay?
You need to explain how and why you have decided to focus on the factors your have chosen in the introduction of your essay, so the reader knows you appreciate the wider issues, but can also see that you can also be selective.
Each paragraph that follows normally deals with one aspect of your key factors. Two paragraphs may be on the same aspect or factor but linked by a different perspective for example you may have two paragraphs dealing with positive and negative aspects of one argument, or then and now perspectives.
