The density of water can be taken as 1 kg/liter and the density of ice is 0.93 kg/liter.

Part 1- Calculate the radius if the ice could form without constraint in the pothole. Use (delta r/r) as an estimate for the radial strain.

Part 2- Calculate the force that the ice-filled pothole exerts on the surrounding concrete.
