Discussion Question 1: Compare and contrast data definitions, clinical vocabularies, terminologies, classifications, taxonomies, nomenclatures, and dictionaries. How has your understanding of these matured through the course of your coding classes?
Discussion Question 2: Think about the many different types of insurance. What are some of the differences between Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Commercial insurances and HMO's? What do you do if a payer is instructing you to code a diagnosis in a specific manner; however, what the payer is telling you to do go against coding guidelines?
