Coercive power: Close to a decade ago, in my country the legal fraternity standup for independence of judiciary. A struggle of few years made one of the strongest chief justice in my country.

So coercive power is people being able to punish others for not doing what needs to be done. That chief justice of Supreme Court had coercive power. He used to take punish all who use to abuse the power.

Expert power: chief of army of all the nations can have this kind of power. Since they become head of arm forces after years of experience so they have in depth information about it.

Referent Power: this kind of power is derived from respect and admiration one commands because of attributes. Like personality, integrity, interpersonal style. Nelson Mandela was a good example of this kind of power.

From my country I think Imran Khan is a good example of referent power. He is honest, struggler, full of integrity and trying to fight status co. So his attributes are such that entire nation admire him, supports him and want him the Prime Minister.

Reward power: this power is used to reward others when they comply with one's wishes. This can be done through giving bonuses, promotions and extra time. Usually managers have these powers for their employees.
