Clinic Expansion Summary

Introduction-

This summary will highlight UnitedHealth Group's (UHG) ultimate goal in expanding and operating urgent care centers and community healthcare clinics nationwide.  UnitedHealth Group is considered one of the most diversified health care companies that offer healthcare benefits, prescription services, and consultant solutions on a global scale.  UHG operates on a four segment platform:  United HealthCare, OptumHealth, OptumInsight and OptumRx. The project organization will focus on an element of UnitedHealth Group called OptumInsight. This particular platform is responsible for enhancing the healthcare environment by using innovative techniques to streamline clinical operations. This project will focus on the strategic aspects of clinic expansions and construction management.

Project Plan

The project plan is centered around the organizational data of the clinic.  The data will be used to identify the real necessity for the expansion.  It will then further layout the process involved in expanding the clinic utilizing construction management protocols.  Scheduling for completion of project deliverables are estimated as follows:

Conclusion

I chose UnitedHealth Group for my final project because of its diverse nature of providing health services and innovative solutions.  The clinic expansion element was chosen to utilize my new found project management skills and tools I have learned. By effectively managing costs, people and time; the clinic expansion will stay on time and on budget with the allotted resources. 

QUESTION DETAILS: Capstone Project: Just getting estimates. I thought I was on the right track with the last course but know after feedback on summary not so sure. Last professor was good with the route I was going. Topic: United Health Group and clinic expansion needs. I've attached the summary and feedback as well.
