Case Study Comprehensive Analysis
For your final project assignment, you will complete the case study of the child you selected. The assignment covers a comprehensive analysis of your child combining all three case studies.
You will include a synthesis of your child's development in the context of child developmental literature and environmental factors. Finally, you will offer recommendations to support your child's optimal development.
You will be required to review your earlier project work to complete your comprehensive case study. You will be expected to do the following:
Provide a comprehensive review of your child's development through the stages of infancy/toddlerhood, preschool, and early elementary (age 8 years).
Identify potential prenatal, infant, or toddler events that may have impacted the child's overall development to date.
Describe and analyze the major influences that impacted the child's development, which may include culture, parenting, socioeconomic status, and social systems.
Analyze the potential impact that environmental factors may have had on the child.
Reflect on the ethical and professional practices related to this case study and describe any assessment partnerships with families or colleagues that may be needed.
Review the Code of Ethics for Minnesota Teachers and the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct and Statement of Commitment, linked in the Resources.
Provide a review of related literature that you utilized throughout the project to support your work. You may include the references that you cited in earlier assignments.
Provide suggestions or best practices to support optimal development of your child. Utilize research or your professional experience to offer suggestions.
Your comprehensive analysis, which includes a literature review, synthesis, and recommendations, should be an additional five pages (approximately).
Thus, your final comprehensive paper (including all three case studies) should be approximately 20 pages. Use the outline that follows to construct your final assignment.
