CAPSTONE LESSONS LEARNED

An important aspect of learning and retaining significant lessons learned is reflecting on, capturing and documenting those lessons. Learning comes through reflection, so take some time to think about the topics listed below.

Assignment

The deliverable is a Word document that addresses the following:

1. Your learning

? New concepts or skills you learned in this class - briefly summarized
? Review the Course Outcomes and determine whether these have been met for you, commenting on each one and how well prepared you feel you are to do each of the outcomes "in the real world"

2. Teamwork

? What you learned about team work - the good, the bad and the ugly
o What went well and why
o What did not go well and why
? An assessment of how your team performed
? How you could improve your own team work, or what you wish you had done differently
? What you could do to improve the outcome of future teams you participate in, or what you wish the team had done differently
? Other lessons learned about team and group work

3. Business Case evaluation

? Which of the teams' projects you assess to be the best and why. This will have no effect on the grading of the projects, but is designed to help you assess what makes a good business case and an effective team.
