Using Twitter, Facebook, and other forms of social media, Howard University students have worked together to challenge people to look beyond stereotypes of young Black men.  This new form of activism reflects changing times, changing causes, and changing technology. Social media has changed the nature of social activism among students.  Search the Internet for two other examples of teams of students using social media to promote a cause, protest, and/or address some social justice.  In your initial posting address with each example, what was the goal of the students involved, and how do you think social media impacted students’ ability to achieve their goal?
