Technology has been substantial in our society for over a decade, most recently, it has had vast advances. Now, in present time, there has been a controversial topic floating around on weather this advancement is doing more good than harm for children and if it is affecting their childhood. If a child is given a device, set with limitations, and with the expectation of its usage being for educational purposes, I believe that it can be beneficial to the said child.

3: What should parents do to guarantee productive technology usage
Monitor device
Set time restrictions, and security restrictions especially on internet
Use children's settings
Keep a password for app store and only download games that promote education and child appropriate games
Inform the child of the rules and limitations
Check the device often

Conclusion: Giving the resource of technology is beneficial to children and their childhood. Technology is the most successful tool a parent can give to their child, it lets them tap into their imaginations, and motivates them to learn. In the right environment and correct supervision this tool can be very helpful, the device should be used with restrictions and limitations just like anything else should for a child. With a parent's close eye, a child could utilize the device and develop skills like hand eye coordination, language skills, and visual engagement, plus more. Technology completely expands the youths horizons when used efficiently.
