The articles state that managers with high-tech backgrounds (computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, etc.) sometimes create employee frustration through insensitive or impersonal behavior. These so-called "nerd" managers are often more focused on technology than on people. They have high IQs but rank low in emotional intelligence,and they lack people skills.The result is often high employee turnover.
