Proposal:

• A 4-5 page (single-spaced) proposal. For a sample proposal, consult this example (remember, however, that your proposal needs to include outside research in APA format and two original visuals)

• The proposal must include at least 4-5 outside sources of research using APA style of documentation. Sources can be found on the Web using search engines as well as our own library resources and databases . Carefully review the additional sources below which will provide information on how to evaluate information as well as how to cite and document outside sources in APA format.

• The proposal also must present information visually by incorporating at least two original graphs (visuals) into the report.

Presentation

In addition to your written proposal, you will provide a presentation (10-12 slides) using PowerPoint, Google Presentation, Prezi, or similar program about your proposal. Imagine that this presentation would be used when presenting your proposal in-person to the intended readership. After viewing your presentation, your audience should have a clear idea of the purpose, content, and significance of your proposal before reading it.

Topic Approval Form for Proposal

Address the following questions and submit to your instructor. Your proposal topic needs to be approved beforehand.

1 Where is the specific place/organization that the problem occurs, and what is your specific role/connection (for example, employee, volunteer?) to the organization and the problem? The problem occurs in all business all over. There just not one specific person or corporation that is single handily affected by it. My connection to his problem is I am very soon going to enter corporate America. I've also have connections with people who have had problems succeeding due to this issue.

2 What is the problem you have identified? Why is it a problem? Give specific examples of the problem occurring. The problem I have identified is a lot of corporations not implementing programs to help employees manage work and home balance.

Many women have problems succeeding in corporate America because their home and work life clashes. Causing absenteeism in the workplace and low morale. Women often have the responsibility of caring for their kid's majority of the time. So, they often battle between being the best parent they can be but also being the best on a professional level. Some people can't find affordable care, or care sites with the right credentials within their area or simply have a hard time trusting

3. Who are the persons or groups most affected by this problem? Give the specific name or names of the reader for the proposal (The reader is the person/persons who can make the change).

Women are the main target because women are the major providers for family care. Men can be also affected as well." Men also provide assistance; female caregivers may spend as much as 50% more time providing care than male caregivers. "There are some single fathers out there or fathers who hold a bigger responsibility with caring for their child or children.

4. What does your reader value the most? For example, does your reader value efficiency? Profit? Accuracy? Environment? Consistency? I believe the interest of most companies rae profit an also employee satisfaction. Which I believe can be the benefit off this proposal.

5. What attitudes does your reader harbor about the problem?

Projected attitude I believe will be open and looking for a direct answer of the possibility of benefiting the company in a major way.

6. What is your proposed solution? Provide some initial researched evidence of your solution. Providing an on-site day care center for employees. "Providing day care in the workplace can have many benefits for companies, including improving employee morale, lowering turnover and attracting a wider variety of applicants. Although providing workplace day care can be expensive, many companies find that it actually saves money in decreasing employee absenteeism and turnover "

7. What does your reader need to know to implement the solution?

Survey of how many employees would invest in and would use daycare services.

Do research on the total potential gains from the building of facility.

How much it would cost.

8. Explain how your solution is in step with the needs of, values of, and attitudes of your reader? Explain.

The needs of most companies are profit and employee/ customer satisfaction. Which building a on-site day care facility will cause employee satisfaction. Which in turn will help them maintain being productive and gain positive views about the company. Will make the company more liable and interesting/ benefiting company to work for. Which will draw more applicants to the job. But also, help with employee turnover rates and employees profit.

9. Write a purpose statement for your proposal. It should start with "The purpose of this proposal is to..." or "The goal of this proposal is to...The purpose of this proposal is to inform you on of the benefits of building an on-site day care facility.
