Business Plan, Mission Statement, & SWOT Analysis Strategies

You have convinced Dr. Hughes that a business plan is necessary for the Oakville Open MRI Clinic. Oakville Hospital (OH) is a highly regarded hospital in the local area, with strong radiology and neurology departments. There are many Closed MRIs in the Oakville County area. This will be the first Open MRI clinic in Oakville County, Tennessee. He assigns you the following tasks. Your Activity responses should be both grammatically and mechanically correct, and formatted in the same fashion as the Activity itself. If there is a Part A, your response should identify a Part A, etc. In addition, you must appropriately cite all resources used in your response and document in a bibliography using APA style. (100 points) (A 6-page response is required.)

NOTE: It will be helpful to do some research on Open MRIs as a part of this activity and for the Stand-Alone project. As a part of your research, be sure to be able to distinguish open from Closed MRIs. Research the advantages and disadvantages of Open vs. Closed MRIs. This will help you with each section of this assignment.

Part A

Draft a mission statement for the Open MRI unit. Discuss eight factors you considered when drafting the statement. Be sure that your discussion is specific to an Open MRI clinic.

Part B

Prepare a written SWOT analysis that is appropriate to an Open MRI unit. Identify five strengths, two weaknesses, five opportunities, and four (4) threats in your response.

Part C

Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the following strategy options for Dr. Hughes' MRI clinic.

1. Operate it as a Closed MRI Clinic

2. Operate it as a free-standing Open MRI Clinic

3. Operate it as an Open MRI clinic within the Oakville Hospital clinic

Part D

Regardless of your answer to Part C, and based on your SWOT analysis, outline two (2) strategies for the clinic which will help promote the Open MRI service. Identify one (1) tactic or activity for implementing each strategy
