Roberts is an unlikely CEO. He shuns the spotlight and chooses his words carefully. He is a technophile who stays in constant communication via his two-way pager. He lights up when talking about the latest Japanese gadgets. He has a talent for playing his cards close to his vest. He has vast power and is reluctant to explain what he’s going to do with it. Roberts does not, however, plan to simply wield a rubber stamp; he has some interesting ideas about the personalization of television.
