Borders between countries are becoming less important as the interconnectivity among people all over the world increases. Travel, the Internet, economic trade, and immigration all blur the lines between countries and decrease the cultural and social differences among people. Nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) are examples of institutions that work across borders and also contribute to this trend of transnationalism. Stemming from nationalism, which was the traditional view, transnationalism is the current view on world politics.

For this assessment, investigate transnationalism in greater detail and explore NGOs and how they relate to transnationalism and global politics.

Preparation

In preparation for this assessment, use the Resources provided (or others you find) to research transnationalism and the changes that have occurred in transportation, communications, international economic exchange, and cultural amalgamation.
