Mary Barra is testifying before a Congressional committee regarding their recent recall:

"Barra is appearing before the House Energy and Commerce Committee. She apologized for the 13 deaths that GM says were caused by a faulty ignition switch, as well as for the 10 year delay between the time the problem was first discovered in 2004 and when GM ordered the recall in February. That recall has grown to 2.6 million vehicles worldwide."
As of Monday, GM recalled another 1.3 million cars for ignition defects.
