Bad public relations (PR) can sometimes destroy companies overnight. It is important to follow rules and regulations of good corporate citizenship. But companies do sometimes make mistakes, and the media is often quick to point them out.
In this discussion we will analyze some real-life PR disasters and analyze whether or not the company handled it correctly.
Find a recent article that details a PR issue related to a specific company and its product. The article should not be more than two years old. Summarize the issue in one to two paragraphs. What is your personal opinion about the issue? How did the company handle it? Could you come up with a different strategy on how to address the issue?
