Assignment

You have been hired as a consultant to a firm who is investing in the travel and tourism sector for the first time. They are unfamiliar with how to implent quality and performance excellence in this type of market. You are able to choose the segment of the travel, tourism or commercial recreation services to develop for this firm. Some examples but not limited to are Hotels, Gaming resorts, Theme park, Spa, etc.

You should use a quality philosophy that you have studied during the course to make a proposal. Firstly describe why you choose this particular philosophy and give an overview of the philosohpy. Then describe how you would design a quality management proposal from the ground up in your proposal to this firm. You should include such topics as performance excellence, organization theory, teamwork, enpowerment, motivation and leadership. You should also include any aspects of the law that would apply to this proposal. Such areas would include HR law, zoning, licensing, etc.

The paper should be approx 8 - 10 pages long not including the title page or reference page. You should do additional research beyond the text book and articles that were posted on WebCT. You should have at least 5 additional sources.
