You are to prepare and submit a proposal for your research, which is to be a practical, applied look at a minimum of four human resource management issues in the workplace.

You must develop a topic for your Research Paper. Your actual topic must be stated in the form a Question. Your Research Question must be one that is researchable. In your Literature Review section, you must be able to identify documented (existing) literature to help in answering your Research Question.

Formatting.

Research Paper should be a minimum of ten pages, not including the Title Page and Reference/Bibliography

Use 12-point font, double-spaced, and one-inch margins on all 4 sides

Use in-text citations so I can decipher where exactly in your paper you drew upon others' work. In-text citation is important as it gives credit to the source you obtained the information. If you do not use in-text citation, you may be guilty of plagiarism. Also, in-text citations can help your reader to find your complete source in the Reference/Bibliography list at the end of the paper.

You may use information from the course supplemental readings as well as the textbook to help build a framework from which to assess your organization and conduct your research and analysis.

Your Research Paper must be outlined as follows:

1. Title Page must contain the Research Topic, Student Name, Student ID Number, Course Number, Professor's Name and the Assignment.

2. Introduction: describe the Topic and how it fits into this course of study

3. Problem Statement: clearly re-state the issues/problems of concern you investigated (based on your Proposal)

4. Significance: emphasize the significance of your research

5. Findings:

a. Provide answers to the five questions you presented in your Proposal

b. State what you believe are possible sources of the issues/problems you presented

c. Identify what you believe are consequences of the issues/problems you presented

d. Identify roles within the organization and organizational units affected by the issues/problems

e. Clearly state whether each the issue/problem is one of inefficiency, ineffectiveness, and/or inequity

6. Recommendations: how to improve performance, productivity, efficiency, motivation, issues related to the human resource management issues/problems you discovered in your research, and/or were identified during your interview for Assignment #1.

7. Conclusion: The conclusion is intended to help the reader understand why your research was important. A conclusion is not merely a summary of the main topics covered or a re-statement of your research problem, but a synthesis of key points and your recommendations. State how your finding can make a difference within that organization.

8. References/Bibliography:

Provide complete reference information (author, date, title, publication, volume and page numbers; providing a URL only is insufficient) on a separate sheet.

A minimum of ten references is required.
