Using PowerPoint or equivalent presentation software, you will describe how you intend to move forward with your research assignment in the next class. Please see the Example of Next Steps Assignment.

Your presentation should include the following:

Introduction

Provide an overview of the research area you have chosen to focus on for your capstone course.

Areas for exploration and next steps

In more detail, describe 2-3 big ideas you have already started to uncover because of your literature review. Describe your next steps as you consider what else you might need to read or learn to better understand your topic. What questions do you have about the areas that you still need to explore? What new ideas do you need to pursue that came up as you completed your literature review?

Provide a rationale for how you intend to find sources appropriate for your research question or thesis statement. Focus on how you plan to conduct a detailed literature search, including topics, search keywords, and the online libraries you intend to explore as you continue to refine and focus your work.

Conclusion

Provide a brief conclusion describing the overall plan.

Support your statements with evidence from the Required Studies and your research. Cite and reference your sources in APA style.
