Use the questions to respond to student post below

Respond to at least two colleagues. In your responses, first offer feedback on your peers' thinking processes. Are their critical thinking pathways easy to follow? Did they offer strong evidence to support their conclusions? Then, offer an additional strategy that they may not have considered that could be effective in their educational settings. Make sure that the strategy you suggest aligns with their thinking processes for determining effective strategies.

The three strategies I believe would be effective for promoting inclusiveness and welcoming diversity in my educational setting are:

1. Communication starting on the first day of school- what I expect to happen in the classroom, including the ways how my students interact, ask a question and participate.

2. Increase students' self-awareness of levels and progress.

3. Differentiate Instruction

o What was your thinking process that helped you determine that these strategies might be effective in your setting?

My thought process that helped me to identify the following strategies that I selected will allow my students to grow academically. They can express themselves without being judged. I feel if a child needs to talk to me about information that I taught, then he/she will be able to without their classmate knowing.

· What evidence do you have to support your conclusion that these strategies might be effective? I can say that I'm doing one-on-one with a Kindergarten student who didn't know anything at the start of school. Once I was assigned to the student, I gave him my expectation as his one-on-one. I'm constantly encouraging him that he can do it. We might work at a slower pace than other student, but he is learning the information.

· How would you apply the strategies you identified in your own educational setting? I would use these tactics with a small group setting. That way each child would have my full attention. I will also incorporate them into the lesson plan.

Three strategies I believe will be effective in promoting inclusiveness and welcoming diversity are understanding and learning about the culture of the families in your classroom, communication, implement multicultural activities in my lesson plans that will also encourage parent involvement.

My thinking process was based on what the mission of our school as a military facility and what will make the children and their families feel welcomed and safe. The evidence I have is the childrens daily participation and interest in the classroom and activities. Parent involvement in classroom and school activities and functions.
