In Unit 3, you investigated the use of energy sources to power all of the continuing industrialization. This week, you will take the next step and look at how this industrialization has resulted in ecological problems.

You will do the following:

· Investigate the human impact to ecosystems and the environment

· Characterize examples of air, water, and soil pollution

· Analyze the impact of pollution on human health

· Recognize maintenance of environmental quality through stewardship
