Assignments are formal, written assignments that are designed to help you expand on an important concept(s) for that week. Your answers to the assignment questions should be thoroughly explained in paragraph form.
Your answers should cover the particulars of the question and include an example of your understanding of the question in general. Be sure to include the video article in the body of the essay. Formal writing means using proper English, including grammatical, mechanics, and spelling rules. All references must be cited using in-text citations, and/or a bibliography resources list.
At least two research references must be included and they should be in APA format. Research sources must also be properly cited in the body of your essay and the citations must match the listed references and vice versa. All answers must be combined into one document (Microsoft Word ) that is a minimum of three pages.
The paper must be prepared in MS Word, double-spaced and be properly cited and referenced in APA format. The paper must include a title page, reference page, and a minimum of 3 full double-spaced pages of meaningful discussion (title page and reference page do not count as part of the 3 pages of meaningful discussion). You are expected to write professionally with correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Your work should be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins all around. When citing resources, you must adhere strictly to APA style.
These papers are not thought papers so do not write in first person. All assignments must be your own original work and you are not allowed to turn in papers for this course that you have used previously for another course (even if it is from taking this very course during a previous session). There will be absolutely no plagiarism!!!

Read your assigned chapter. By synthesizing information from your assigned chapter, the assigned Podcast, and video, discuss police use of force.
Focus on the extent that an officer should use force against traffic violators who are just being "uncooperative" opposed to a suspect who is posing a "threat."
Include in your discussion the standard of care for police use of force as well as what actions on the part of a suspect justify an increased or decreased force response by a police officer.
