Review each of the four components of the revenue cycle (Preclaims, Claims, Accounts Receivable, and Claims, reconciliation and collections) and identify a key staff member involved in each of the four components. Where is the health information professional involved? In all of the components? A few?

Review the design principles for ICD-10-PCS as outlined in your text. Review one of the principles and discuss why you believe it is important to the coding process. Review other resources as well including those listed under the "Reading" tab on the development of the ICD-10-PCS Coding System.
