After completing this week's readings, prepare a post of at least 200 words that describes in your own words what emergency management is and does. Why is emergency management needed?

Select a recent emergency or disaster (anywhere in the world) and do Internet research to find credible sources that address what happened, the cause(s), and the consequences (human injury and death, structural damage or destruction, etc.)

In a short paper (about 250 words), describe the incident and at least five different activities or capabilities that were or are needed to respond to or recover from the incident.

(Think of as diverse activities/capabilities as possible). If possible, note what type of department or organization would be involved in providing that activity or capability or meeting that need.

Include reference citations and a reference list formatted in APA Style.
