One of the local city council members wants to propose an ordinance to require every local apartment complex resident to complete a home fire safety program and every residence to have at least one working smoke detector.

You have been asked to deliver a presentation to the city council. The title of the presentation is Governmental Influences on Fire Prevention. Complete a PowerPoint presentation to be presented at the next city council meeting. Use the "PowerPoint Guidelines found within Unit VII. Your presentation must:

• Include 10-15 slides (not counting the title slide).
• Include a title slide.
• Include an introduction.
• Address federal, state, and local level influences on fire prevention programs and activities.
• Address fire department influence on fire prevention and activities.
• Address fire prevention aspects of public policy.
• Include a reference slide at the end.
