In module two, we discussed changes in the ways we communicate in business/healthcare environments. Let's pick up on that discussion for this writing assignment.

Assume you are the office manager in a small but progressive health care facility interested in providing information and services to its clients via its own website. You have begun circulating information about the proposed website to the physicians and nurses on staff in preparation for an upcoming meeting to discuss the pros and cons, and to gather suggestions.

Complete the following:

•An Executive Summary of the document "Chronic Disease and the Internet".

•An accompanying e-mail message that invites the physicians and nurses to a coffee-and-muffins meeting prior to the start of the workday. The email should explain what you would like them to do to prepare for the meeting. For example, you might ask them to read your executive summary, and jot down a list of two or three advantages and disadvantages they see to using a website to provide information to patients. Think about what else it might be appropriate to ask this busy group of people to do so that the meeting is productive for everyone.
