Assignment

EBusiness Implementation Assignment: Selecting the Solution of Enterprise Business Systems for your client company (30% of the Total Marks).

Your team is about to provide consultancy in implementing the corporate wide systems for an enterprise. Discuss with your group members for the solution of the business customer which is middle sized company with business operation scale approx. 50 to 100 millions NZD per annum (or more if real data is available, however, not giant firms). Make appropriate assumptions such as industrial type, main products, and service/product delivery channels (whether it is multinational/multisite setting). Alternatively, your team could choose a real company (not necessarily NZ based) as the target to make subsequent assumptions (no need for real data). At least 5 candiates (could be products from systems vendors or external solution providers if this team is formed internally inside the enterprise) should be used the potential solutions in the beginning phase and via KT analysis for final solution.

Suggested Steps:

1. Start to work in a group (discuss with your classmates to form the group - around 5 people)

2. Assign roles to each member, digital business, finance, marketing, sales, logistics, project manager, and etc., based on the expertise of a particular member or the major.

3. Discuss the strategic needs of your client/own company (1st meeting minute)

4. Individual Contribution and seeking for possible candidates (Solution or ES Providers) (2 - 4 pages individual work, do not bind them in the group report but submit them together with the group assignment)

5. Synthesising the requirements in a team (2st meeting minute)

6. Conduct KT Analysis, starting with MUST, then setting up Weighting Score for each WANT requirement and assessing it by multiplying its WANTING Score, summarise weighted scores for each candidate which passed the MUST assessment

(3rd meeting or via email communication)

7. Conclusion Remark and finish all the contents

8. Preparing the report

9. Sign off the cover sheet (all group members) and submit the report to MSC.
