a. Write a paragraph that summarizes your analysis of the case.

b. Find the company's web site online and identify its mission statement. Evaluate the mission statement based on what you know from the course. Use course concepts to support your arguments.

c. Identify the firm's strategy. Do you believe that the strategy is appropriate given the conditions described in the case? Use course material to support your conclusions.

d. Conduct a SWOT analysis and explain your findings. Is this an attractive industry in which to operate? Why or why not?

e. Which of the following would you recommend in your case and why?

i. Any of the five generic competitive strategies?
ii. Strategic alliances, mergers, acquisition, outsourcing, or competing in new specific, identifiable markets?
iii. International expansion? And or Diversification?
iv. Changes to improve competence and capabilities, personnel management, internal operations, organizational culture, or leadership?

f. Consider and discuss the ethics of the industry and the strategy used by the company. As far as you can tell, to what extent is the company practicing business ethics, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability? To what extent the strategy involves global, regional strategic involvement? Answering this question may require research beyond the textbook.

For Case Report -Instructions on writing:

• The case report must be typed, doubled-spaced. Answers to the questions must be lettered/numbered according to the lists.

• Include your name, case title, and course meeting time at the top of your paper.

• If eight or more spelling and typing errors are found, 10 points are deducted from the score.

• Duplicate papers are prohibited for the individual case reports. If duplicate papers are submitted, each individual will receive a zero for the assignment. Each student must prepare a report on the case which he or she has been assigned. A score of zero will be given for the assignment if a student turns in a report on a case other than the one assigned.

• There is no set length requirement for the paper. However all questions and requirements must be addressed completely.

• Sources used must be referenced at the end of the paper. Any word-for-word use of another author's work must be enclosed in quotation marks and the page number of the original source provided. This includes use of the textbook material. Use of quoted material should be limited. The assignment must be your own original work. Ten points are deducted for missing references.
