Choose an artist from the following list( YINKA SHONIBARE) . Every student in the class must choose a different artist. This list is just a sampling of important artists working in Contemporary times. You will give a brief 3 - 5 minute presentation to the class. Please includ e color examples of your artist' s work. This can be from a book, color copies, slide presentation, etc... Use the library, your textbook, and the internet as resources. What type of art does your artist create? Is th is artist influenced by any previous movements or style s in art? Are they associated with any current movem e nts in art? Where are they from and where do they work now? What impact do they have as an artist ? Why is you r artist considered important? What do you think of their work?

Accompanying your presentation will be a one page written summary on your artist. The paper is due at the time of your presentation. All papers should be 12pt. type and double spaced.
