1. Identify and briefly describe three specific trends in child poverty and/or homelessness in the U.S. over the past 5-10 years. For each trend, describe one possible implication of the trend for children's growth and development.

2. Identify at least three ways in which poor families match or exceed more affluent families in areas relating to family or community life. For each way, provide at least one possible reason for this trend.

3. Identify and describe at least three specific consequences of child poverty and/or homelessness for children and/or for society-at-large.
