As you are watching the Unnatural Causes video and reading through the other materials posted in this week's Moodle module, current events, and the textbook readings if you have access, take notes and piece together a thoughtful perspective that answers the following question, and respond in essay form (aim for around 500 words):

Why is public health controversial?

Questions to get you thinking, you don't have to answer them all, but they are meant to help you think more critically about why public health is controversial:

• What are the connections between healthy bodies, healthy bank accounts and skin color?
• How do current events shape our perspectives about public health?
• How does the government's role in public health add to the controversy?
• How do morals and religious values make public health controversial?
• In what ways does economics or the pursuit of individual liberties add to controversy in public health?
