Internship goals

• Improve my communication skills with a variety of people by working in teams and handling customers.

• To enhance my networking abilities by connecting with people who can provide necessary information from and help me career-wise.

• An opportunity to apply what I have learnt from my studies.

• Improve my computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and Word because they are the among the most important computer tools for any Finance job.

• I want to improve my skills in writing specifically in business related topics.

• Presentation skills and how to present my ideas in a way that people will be interested in.

• How can I communicate with clients and get their attention to sign up with the company and how to communicate with them during the meetings.

My role as his assistant will be to support the member engagement team with research, data gathering, and analysis to help improve the understanding of the mission, and the activities of Member Engagement and the Chamber. Also, I will further conduct comprehensive research and analysis for members who are interested in Southwest Indiana Chamber data and lastly, collect data on individuals and companies who are members of the Chamber. Other than this, I look forth to Interacting with people and networking because that will help me and ultimately help the company. I also look forward to meeting with the Chamber's committee and community representatives, and lastly set up meetings with clients and other relevant parties.

I did attend some converncies that is held by the Chamber and help organize and communicate with the people who attend

The necessary skills needed to complete the job neatly to precision include; Microsoft Excel knowledge-ability, that is, data entry and analysis, using the internet to research about the clients and ensuring you have all the information needed about them, and communication skills especially when it comes to both customers and co-workers.

The intershipprograme help me to expand my knowledge , because I don't know any thing about what a chamber do in the bussniss world and how can help the community .

Also , communicate with people from different backgrounds and find out things that can help me in my career path

The place that I do my internship at have around 20 employee so it can easily comuncate , and this is a pargraph to understand what a Chamber do :

The chambers of commerce are business networks intended to further the interests of trading communities in a particular geographical area, usually local, regional, or state. Nonetheless, the chambers of commerce are not part of government agencies and have no direct linkage in writing or passing laws and regulations but may influence the contents of the law to favor their respective businesses. Like most organizations, the Southwest Indiana Chamber works closely with partners to improve value and roles of businesses in Indiana region and internationally.Chamber has been providing its members with analysis and trends of the local and international economies. Furthermore, it is important for businesses to be cognizant of the direction the local economy is heading as sales start from within

The culture of the industry is to improve business operation environment through advocacy of beneficial policies and providing formidable data to inform decision making. Besides, the ethical dimensions present in the industry are focused on inclusivity by embracing diversity. The networking and marketing role of the chambers of commerce provides for interaction by different people who are volunteers, staff, customers, partners, and business owners.
