Assignment
1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others helped resolve disputes or contributed to group efforts over time.
- I was the vice president, secretary, and fundraising president in a non-profit organization, called HeartShare Club.
- Volunteered for seniors (elderly), and individuals with disability.
Taught them in drawings and paintings.
- They did not want to draw or involve in given tasks.
- We had to do something to trigger their willingness.
- This volunteer was not only for art education, but also for giving them to feel confidence and pride.
- It was a great significant experience
2. Think about an academic subject that inspires you. Describe how you have further interest inside and/or outside of the classroom
- Mover to US when I was 8 th grade.
- English barrier
- Art class/ was able to express my feelings, get most of understandings.
- Speak out my thoughts in English < art works (all different language speakers can understand my works)
- To correct my accent, I volunteered at church, kids class/ talking with them I learned a lot.
- Close relationship with kids by showing them my drawings.
3. Talent or Special Skill.
- Like fashion field.
- Like to take pics of fashionable people.
- Whenever I had time I went out for shopping (street brans included)
- I took pics of many fashionable people. And usually, fashion streets have art works on the walls.
- Pic skills got better.
- Friends asks me whenever they get a new clothes.
- Better perspective, more creative ideas whenever I work on my art pieces.
- Passion
4. Overcoming significant challenge.
- Family moved to US in 2013.
- But my sister and mother has to go back to Korea 2 years after.
- I was left alone only with my dad (he is super busy, work)
- Did not have any knowledge in housework.
- One quarter failed. (bad bad grade)
- Slightly started learning how to handle myself.
- Grade got better.
- Happy child.
