Assignment: Vision: Imagine the Possibilities

A critical responsibility of an organizational leader is to envision the future and enlist others in the support of the vision. Your organization may already have a stated vision. For this assignment, take some time to research your organization's vision. Does that vision statement imagine the possibilities or express a common purpose? If it does not, reflect on these qualities and rewrite the vision from your perspective as the leader of the organization. Once the vision is sufficiently developed, prepare a powerpoint presentation designed to communicate the vision, enlist the support of others for the vision, generate excitement, and capture it through not only words, but also pictures-as the old adage goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words!" Include at least one slide of how you, as a leader (or potential leader), see yourself interfacing with others to achieve the identified vision of the organization.
