Review the Power Train, LTD case on pages 293-295 of your text. How would you create a system to manage the resource constraints? Your answer must be supported with the facts of the case.

Power Train has an interesting problem. It has a problem with getting the right resources on the right job at the right time! It thinks this problem can be solved with some custom software. What are some of the problems Power Train has, and how would you solve them?

scheduling people is one of the most difficult duties because you do not have control over the time of those resources. They are on the project temporarily and usually are part-time resources. Their functional manager pulls them back to their regular duties, even for times they are scheduled to work on the project. How can you overcome some of that to get a more finite schedule?
