ASSIGNMENT: MATCHING PERSONALITY + INDUSTRY

The impact of an entrepreneur's personality and background may depend upon which industry or markets they decide to Venture into. The new "Upstart" entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley often had aggressive personalities and some education on design, before they created Airbnb and Uber; but they also needed other skills and financial resources in order to enter and grow in segments of hospitality or transportation industries in U.S. or abroad.

Meyer and Crane (M&C, Ch.1) suggest that new ventures are more likely to succeed if they are matched or based upon the founder's own personal background and experience, as it is applied to market opportunity in an attractive industry with potential to enter and grow. The midterm assignment is to prepare a short 2 page outline of your own venture ideas.
