Read the blog post "When Does Midlife Begin and End" and answer the question: "How many generations in your family are experiencing midlife right now?" (Only discuss 1 person per 3 generations, starting with you).

Also quote from Hillier & Barrow. Address whether you, and/or a parent and/or a grandparent are in midlife according to your understanding of the definition of midlife.

Assignment in Detail.

1. On a scratch piece of paper, write down the names of both of your parents (as well as step-parents if you have them). Write down the names of all of your grandparents. Before you start reading the blog post and its links, think about whether any of these family members are in midlife or late life.

2. Read the following post because you need to quote from it in your L3 paper. Don't just read the links. Read the post itself first and think about whether this information best describes you, one of your parents or step-parents or one of your grandparents:

Blog - The Generation Above Me - A blog by Karen D. Austin--whose approach to aging is part science, part performance art.

3. Read at least 4 of the links and think about you, one of your parents / step-parents and one of your grandparents.

4. Look at the textbook information on life stages (midlife / late life).

5. Write a post that discusses you and two other family members: a family member the generation above you--a parent (or step-parent)-as well as a family member two generations above you--a grandparent. That's just three people total, counting you. It's too much to discuss more people than that in this paper.

Answer this question: Is just one generation in your family experiencing midlife? Or do two generations fit the description of midlife? Quote from the textbook, from the TGAM blog post "When Does Midlife Begin and End?" and refer to at least 4 links within that post (by summarizing a couple of them and quoting directly from a couple of them).
