Using examples, discuss the positive and negative effects of cross border operations on any two of the following:

Operations

Marketing and sales

Human Resources Students are expected to address the assignment brief through analysis of:

the effect on business operations, decision taking, internal and external dynamics, finance, logistics, time, branding and customer segmentation and cultural issues, amongst others.

Guidelines Students are expected to write between 1,500 and 2,000 words, addressing two of the five areas identified in the brief. Under each area, the assignment should identify the positive and the negative effects of entering cross border business.

These could be listed using bullet points, and then elaborated upon, using practical examples of how these positive and negative effects could come about, and what could be done to address them.

Different examples and scenarios could be used for each area and bullet point, and it is up to the student to establish if the example is an importer, exporter, etc. Assignment length should be between 1500 and 2000 words, and students are expected to give practical examples to support their analysis.
